FOOD FOR THOUGHT

It’s paradoxical…or is it?

New Year’s Day…the first day of a brand new year…a clean slate…time to right the wrongs of the last year…the foundational day upon which we begin building the new life we want, etc.

So, how do we spend it? As couch potatoes…eating…mostly junk, watching television and doing little of anything.

At a glance…it appears paradoxical. But, is it?

There is one very positive exception to how most of us spend the day. We often share it with people we love…family and friends.

So, in the end, maybe it’s not paradoxical at all. Maybe it’s the perfect way to begin a new year…by focusing on relationships instead of tasks…slowing down instead of running full speed…being instead of doing.

Happy New Year.
